The word "inspection" comes from the Latin "inspectio", which means "inspection, observation." And the first meaning of the word “inspection” is connected precisely with the process of inspecting something. In this sense, the “inspection” has a synonym - “inspection”.

Usually, inspections are carried out in various institutions in order to check whether the established rules are observed there. The agency that performs such a review is also called an inspection. There are, for example, sanitary inspection, which monitors the observance of sanitary and hygienic standards in enterprises. And the fire inspectorate checks to see if there are fire extinguishers and other fire fighting equipment in the building, and whether fire safety rules are being observed.
