Definition of education
In a broad sense, education means the transfer from generation to generation of knowledge, skills, skills of social behavior, moral standards, i.e. accumulated human experience, spiritual heritage. This process is carried out by all social institutions of the state: educational institutions, family, church, public and cultural organizations, the media.
In a narrower, pedagogical sense, upbringing is an activity aimed at developing the personality of the child, preparing him for life, and imparting to him certain behavioral skills and personal qualities. This is the goal of education. Under the education refers to both the process and the result of educational activities.
There are such types of education: moral, mental, physical, labor, aesthetic, gender, etc.Thus, the purpose of education is the formation of a fully developed personality.
To understand what moral education is is not easy. It depends on the moral installations prevailing in society or in a particular environment. Moral education should form concepts that meet social norms. It is aimed at the assimilation of common human values and basic moral principles. In many ways, moral education contributes to religious education.
You can understand what physical education is if you consider the concept of human physical culture. This awareness of the need for action aimed at maintaining and promoting health. And the goal of physical education is physical development, inculcating the skills of a healthy lifestyle and, ultimately, ensuring efficiency.
Aesthetic education is the formation of an aesthetic attitude to reality. Previously used the term "sexual education". But now they have come to the conclusion that the orientation exclusively on the biological understanding of gender is not true. So what is gender education? The concept of "gender" (from the English. "Genus") considers gender as a product of social and cultural relations. Gender education is aimed not only at studying the physiological and psychological characteristics of the sexes, but also at forming the correct ideas about the purpose of men and women, their functions in society, the culture of relationships, equality and the inadmissibility of discrimination on the basis of sex.
