What are luxury items today?
The arrival of a currency crisis to us so inappropriately coincided with non-cardinal, but still tangible changes in fashion. What happened? The latter suddenly from a serious lady of high society turned into a teenager with maximalism and whims in the spirit of “I want what I wear.” Why is inappropriate?
Get dressed and don't listen to anyone
To begin with, the concept of a luxury designer thing itself is different - now it’s not so much a thing-symbol as a thing-impression, a thing-game that is difficult to perceive without a smile. These are the costumes and coats in the Gucci wall-paper rosettes, the awkward sandals on the platform from Stella McCartney and the tops in the form of paper bags from Moschino. You look, and at once it becomes ridiculous, and then you translate a glance at the price and you understand that it looks like something sad. The current luxury is a story about a sense of humor and courage, about “naked” dresses, in which you can see both the priest and the chest, and about the winter tops with an open belly in the spirit of I don't care, about infantile prints and absolutely incompatible things, like, for example, lacquer boots and torn concert t-shirts instead of dresses that Rihanna loves so much.Only we, for our part, cannot assess this, unfortunately, because with the current course, the psychedelic sweatshirt, velvet jack-up boots, and torn leggings from Kanye will become too irreplaceably expensive, when in fact you first need a warm sweater and “unkillable” boots, since nobody has yet canceled the winter. While the design industry is heading towards unencumbered individualism, how do we change our view of luxury things in a crisis?

From symbolism to realism
With "new" prices for "old" things, we really began to buy less, and first of all the "diet" touched the luxury segment. Previously, buying expensive items in addition to utilitarian motivation “I need a quality coat” also had an impulsive one: “I will buy, perhaps, this feather clutch, I will admire it and, probably, I will take the next New Year party with me” !) In addition, we easily and cute tempted all these trends and mast-chevy: "Look how fresh and original! Buy it and you will like it! ”
Simply because even some 15 years ago we had two jeans force on strength, and now there are 20 of them for plus size and model-high, for casual Friday in the office and a vacation in Saint-Tropez
So, over the past few years, the wardrobe has grown and been filled with all styles, epochs and trends, and, we argue, most of you have got yourself a new wardrobe just for this five-year period ...
Ashish Sequin Pants, Balmain Top, Vetements Booties
What has changed since last year’s currency crash? The mass market got off with a light shock, while designer clothing stores had to adapt to the new reality: order fewer "newbies" and more time-tested and demanded brands. Among the buyers, this favorite type of boutique "favorite type" - one that comes with an easy boredom on the face, disappeared from the number of buyers, and then tries on a new collection of some enchanting Ashish and "swims out" from the store in an enthusiastic mood with a torn jeans, shorts in paillettes and nightmarish-looking trousers with stripes in the corporate package.
Today, instead of five crazy things, only one is taken away, but an “investment” one - a jacket made of thick black leather, a quality down jacket or a warm scarf of the “right” blue color.
The same goes for sales at designer online stores: first of all, coats with decent wool content (at least 60%) evaporate, then all flat shoes (even summer shoes) disappear, because it’s really more comfortable to walk around and easier to choose “by the eyes” on the Internet. Feathers, latex, snake print, colored lace (with the exception of red underwear - this is still sacred!) And everything in the spirit of "it is not clear-when-so-to-wear" hang and wait in the wings.
Our new luxury from the luxury of symbolism and the loud name of the brand has turned into a luxury of sensation - high-quality leather, soft to the touch wool, neat trim seams, universal shape and style. And yes, we are still spending these things in a crisis
The Row Coat, Michael Kors Jumper, Gucci Loafers
So we can safely say that our concept of luxury has also become more personal and individual. Only here, in our case, the person in the hunt for this suite is no longer an abundant “want everything at once” caprice with photos of Anna Dello Russo in the phone, but a thoughtful adult woman who understands what she needs, how often she will wear and how much really ready to spend.
