Is it necessary to insure the freight forwarder's liability?
We are engaged in cargo transportation in Ukraine, recently and began to carry abroad. I was told that I need to issue a freight forwarder’s liability insurance contract. Tell me, is it necessary? Usually only a green card did. And tell me at the same time the company in Kiev with normal conditions.

Logically, if you carry valuable cargo - it is better to arrange insurance, of course. If, God forbid, something happens to the cargo on the road - the customer will have to compensate for the damage.

Yes, both are needed. Because the green card is the driver’s liability insurance in case of an accident, and the forwarder’s liability is protection against expenses in case of loss or damage to the cargo. There are a lot of companies on the market, but the conditions for all are approximately the same. Read and choose the most suitable

We have been cooperating with the company ROM for many years, there the manager himself says which contracts are required to be entered into, which are not, but he recommends it. Problems have not yet arisen once, paid on time. And in Kiev there are several offices.
