Genealogical Bed

Everyone knows that the best gift is the one that is made with your own hands, and therefore with a piece of soul in it. Today I will tell you how to make a “genealogical flowerbed.” We will need the following elements: - Cardboard (white and colored); - Glue; - Wooden skewers (long) or cocktail tubules; - Pictures; - Plasticine , salt dough or floral sponge; - Capacity as a flowerbed (bucket, box, basket, etc., etc.); - Decoration (decorative straw, decoupage paper, pebbles, etc.);- Ribbons. Now we start to create in stages. 1. The essence of our entire flower bed is that each family member will be a separate flower. To do this, we prepare photographs of a family of different diameters (cut out in the form of a circle). They will be the middle of our flowers. 2. Cooking petals. You can use templates from the Internet, you can do it yourself. They can be of completely different shapes, sizes and types. The main thing is that our middles in the end they fit well (pasted). Cut the petals from colored cardboard, from thick paper, or from white cardboard, which can then be decorated with crayons, gouache or glitter.

3. The next step is to attach the flower to the stem. You can use long wooden skewers or cocktail tubules as a stem (in my case, they approached me more, because they are green).

To fix the petals on a wooden stick, you can use glue or thread. With the tube is still easier. On the one hand, we cut it by 1-2 cm using a clerical knife in half.

Then we insert between the cut parts main petals and attach the stapler along the tube.

Glue up the remaining petals, closing the bracket, then the middle photo.

After gluing all the flowers, they should be put under the press, so that they stick together well. 4. Choose the container that will be the foundation of our flower bed. You can use a small iron bucket (decorative) basket (floristic) and so on. In my case, a round white box of candy was taken. You can decorate it with stickers in the form of flowers, which are sold in any store for creativity.

In order for our flowers to grow in something, we need to choose the type of "soil". In this capacity, you can use plasticine (although it is quite expensive), a floral sponge, and I took the cheapest option - salted dough for modeling. There are enough recipes for cooking it on the Internet, so I will not talk about it.The main thing is to choose the recipe, which involves a "great" dough of a large mass. This consistency will allow the flowers to hold in it and not fall. I prepared in advance such a dough of green color, "rested" up to that night in the refrigerator. Genealogical flowerbed To prevent the box from falling over its bottom I placed pebbles, and on them already a green test mass.

In my case, the tubules as a stem give the flowers a more “lively” look, since the head of the flower is slightly tilted in different directions. The final touch - ribbons instead of leaves. You can take green, and I decided to add colors and imposed color ribbons. Genealogical flowerbed Well, that's all.Voila, and the Genealogical Flowerbed is ready! You can make a gift not only for a family member, but also for your favorite teacher, counselor or just a dear friend.
