Discerning Gifts With The Royal Seal Of Approval
Not just any old thing can be given to the Queen! Any goods or services supplied to Her Majesty or members of the royal family must be marked with a Royal Warrant of Appointment.
The Royal Warrant allows the trading companies to advertise the fact that they supply to the issuer of the Warrant, and are allowed to display the royal coat of arms on their products. Typically, you’ll see the words “By Appointment to…” followed by the title and name of the royal customer on the goods.
Companies holding a Royal Warrant include:
- Asprey London Limited
- Aston Martin Lagona Ltd.
- Cadbury UK Ltd.
- Fortnum & Mason
- HP Foods
- Jaguar Cars
- Samsung Eletronics
- Rigby & Peller
