Cameron Diaz Joins Fashion Label As Artistic Director
The A-list actress is joining the world of fashion, taking on a 'subtle' role at a major accessories label
Cameron Diaz is joining a major fashion label as artistic director, it’s been confirmed.
The A-list actress is turning her hand to the world of fashion, taking on the creative, yet ‘subtle’ role at accessories label, Pour La Victoire.
She says: ‘I don’t do endorsements really. This is completely different.’
Keen to stress that she’s not the next Stella McCartney or Victoria Beckham, the 40-year-old star won’t be designing, but instead has bought an ‘undisclosed stake’ in the brand and its sister brand Kelso Dager, says WWD.
Cameronadds: ‘I live in heels 10 hours of the day. I know comfort in shoes. There are some shoes you would die to wear but they are painful. When I was younger, it was a fight to the death with my shoes and who was going to win. I want to have really great, functional shoes that are staples of the line.’
According to CEO Chris Nakatani,Cameron‘s influence will be ‘subliminal’ and will reflect her own personal style.
While the actress admits she has a ‘lot to learn about business’, she insists that this fashion partnership won’t be unsuccessful like many other celebrity collaborations, adding: ‘I can’t speak about anyone else’s work ethic.
