A charming mini zen garden made from succulents and cacti.

A rock garden or a zen garden is a cultural and aesthetic structure of Japan, which is usually a flat sandy platform with several asymmetrically placed stones. Such an island of peace and harmony can be arranged anywhere, for example, on the desktop in the office, making a miniature copy of the garden of Zen. And if usually in such a composition the main role is played by stones, we suggest making a mini Zen garden with your own hands using plants: cacti, succulents and aerophytes.

How to make a mini garden Zen with your own hands?

Very, very simple. To do this, cook:

  • plant (cactus or succulent);
  • fine sand (for terrariums and aquariums, landscape design);
  • optional - ground for succulents;
  • container (transparent bowl, ceramic pot, box).

There are four basic ways to make a miniature zen garden.

Option 1.The pot with the plant is simply buried in the sand so that only the plant can be seen.

Option 2.Special primer for succulents or ordinary place in a nylon sock, plant a plant there and tie a nylon. Then such a bag with a plant digs into the sand.

Option 3.Many desert plants can be planted directly in the sand. But do not forget to lay small stones on the bottom of the pot for drainage.

Option 4.The second option is suitable for any plants. At the bottom of the container, place the stones for drainage, then a layer of soil, and only cover the top 2-3 cm with sand.

Using special rake, a stick or a pen, create patterns and ornaments on the surface of the sand, every day - new ones. Such a contemplative occupation will surely bring you peace of mind and allow you to rest from worries.
