A 27-Year-Old’s Graphic Selfie Will Make You Never Use Tanning Beds Again
We all know by now that tanning beds aren’t good for your skin—or you, for that matter. Just like the now commonly known connection between cigarettes and lung cancer, tanning beds have gone from the cool-girl way to speed up your summer glow to something that can lead to skin damage, premature ageing, and—most gravely—skin cancer. To remind you just how much damage a tanning bed can do, allow us to introduce you to Tawny Willoughby, a 27-year-old mom who bravely took to Facebook to share a graphic photo of her face, which has been marred by painful-looking blisters and scars.

The image has been shared over 50,000 times on Facebook, with hundreds of people commenting on Willoughby’s bravery in calling attention to what some still see as a harmless hobby.
